Setting Up Your Child's Chess Summer Program Is Completely Flexible.
The Chess Summer Program runs weekly between June 24th through August 30th. You can select mornings, afternoons or full days for your child's chess program.
Mornings are from 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM and Afternoons take place from 1:30 PM - 5:30 PM.
Full Days are from 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM.
Children are taught strategy, participate in practice play and enjoy chess tournaments and other fun chess activities.

What age does my child have to be to enroll in the Summer Chess program?
The curriculum, lessons and activities are customized for elementary school children between the 2nd and 6th grades. Beginners as well as experienced players are welcomed.

How long is the Summer Chess program day?
Each Summer Chess program day begins at 8:30 AM and finishes at 5:30 PM. The day is divided into morning and afternoon sessions with a lunch break between 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM. Registration is weekly begonning June 24th and ending August 30th.

How much will registration for the Summer Chess Program cost?
The cost for the Summer Chess Program is as follows: $550 per week for Mornings only, $550 per week for Afternoons only, $850 per week for full day (both Mornings and Afternoons). There is a 10% sibling discount on the total cost of enrollment if more than one child is registered at the same time.

How many children per class can participate in the Summer Chess Program?
Each group of the Summer Chess Program is limited to a total of 9 students maximum. Groups are separated by age and skill level.

Who are the teachers for the Summer Chess Program?
Your Summer Chess Program teachers are well trained, experienced chess teaching professionals who teach in public and private schools during the regular school season. Each has been fingerprinted and background checked for safety.

The Chess Summer Program is run by Coach Christian Whitted from New York Chess and Games. Coach Christian has overseen and directed chess and children's enrichment programs in New York since 2009. His team of chess coaches and teachers are experienced professionals that are passionate about creating fun and engaging learning experiences for children.
